Ubisoft announced on Thursday that Assassin's Creed has been sent to manufacturing in preparation for its Nov. 16 release date on Xbox 360 and PS3.

The action-adventure game is one of the most anticipated third-party titles this holiday given its unique design and subject matter which takes place during the Third Crusade, 1191 AD.

"We've been working very hard for nearly four years to make Assassin's Creed a reality and now there is a confirmed date when players will get to experience the results of our efforts," said Jade Raymond, lead producer.

Assassin's Creed centers around Altair and his attempts to stop atrocities taking place in the Holy Land by both Christian and Muslum terrorists.

The game launches Nov. 16 for Xbox 360 and PS3 and early 2008 on PC and DS.
