Eat Sleep Play may be a new studio, but the company is already thinking past its upcoming PS2 version of Twisted Metal Head On: Extra Twisted Edition. In an interview with GamePro, Jaffe explained:

If you want to know what our next game is, it's absolutely revealed if you have a sharp eye in Twisted Metal Head On: Extra Twisted Edition."

"Listen, if you want to know what our next game is, it's absolutely revealed if you have a sharp eye in Twisted Metal Head On: Extreme Edition. It's hidden really, really, really well. And just because it's hidden in Twisted Metal doesn't mean it has anything to do with Twisted Metal. That's why it's so well hidden. It's a really cryptic riddle we put in there."

Jaffe and Campbell also sounded off on several other topics, including:

  • God of War 3's development: he's mostly unattached to the project at the moment, but he's hoping elements of his original storyline make it in the final game because they're "f***ing awesome."

  • Those "one standardized console" comments: not quite accurate. Jaffe is a proponent of one standardized format for future game systems, but not necessarily one system, presumably to ease development strains for cross-platform games. He's not sure such a standardized format will ever happen, however.

  • Calling All Cars: The original version of the game was "bawdy and M-rated," but the team later decided to make it more palatable to all audiences.

  • Eat Sleep Play's design focus: Though the studio is focused on more accessible games, Jaffe ruled out the possibility of a God of War-sized game, though he said a project along the lines of Warhawk (an online-only team shooter) would fit into the company's vision for gameplay mechanics over storyline.
