Resistance 2 is an alternate history first-person shooter developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony exclusively for the PlayStation 3. The game is the sequel to the best-selling PlayStation 3 launch title Resistance: Fall of Man. In Resistance 2, the Chimera have launched a full scale invasion on both the east and west coasts of the United States. Nathan Hale joins "The Sentinels," a special task force of soldiers who are also resistant to the Chimeran virus. Hale fights the Chimera in various locations in the United States with "The Sentinels" as he fights the Chimeran virus inside himself. The game will feature several new enemies, including the quick and agile Grims, and a new, 300-foot known as the Leviathan. Players will also be able to engage in 60 player online combat. Resistance 2 will also be available in a Collector's Edition for $79.99.
